The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
